ON NARRATOLOGY TODAY

The paper discusses narratology and its position in the system of related disciplines. The conclusion is that narratology has ended up in a certain crisis and that the crisis has been caused by the limited views and scientific methodologies realized in this discipline. The help of linguistics is necessary, as well as a frontal approach to all forms of expression of the same order as narration, such as description, argumentation, explication etc.
