MODAL VERB MUST IN NEWSPAPER REPORTING IN ENGLISH AND SERBIAN

Recent researches on modality have shown that the meaning of modal verbs and the context in which they appear are inseparably linked. Informal context prefers one of the possible meanings of a modal verb. Since the main focus of our interest is modal verb must in English and Serbian, we used the comparative method to show the grammar and contextual similarities and differences linked with this modal in the two languages.
