ONTOLOGICAL STATUS OF PICTURE IN SABATO’S NOVEL THE TUNNEL: ON PANS OF ANDROGYNOUS DISCOURSE

Abstract

Erasing the boundaries between the sphere of fiction (picture) and reality as the picture of the world in Sabato’s The Tunnel, as well as the changing places of centre and margin on sociological, artistic, sexual level of existing of a negative character, are the main problems of “male” discourse in the work. On the other hand, however, parallelly “female” discourse offers problematizing and rotation of aesthetic and ethical presence of enlightening and humanistic ideas of art as mimesis, picture as a particle of fictional world, limited by frame, in space of reality, the problem of sexuality and seduction as an expression of masculine domination, identity as being present, as well as the horror of logic, that is, as we can see in the novel, deadly. The key to understanding of “androgynous” discourse lies in recipient’s ability to rotate his reading position, and, from the position of the text margin (beginning and end), alternately to gravitate towards its center, that is to say, towards the point of textual confluence of the andric and the gynic.

Vladimir Perić, University of Kragujevac, Faculty of Philology and Arts

Nació en 1976 en Šabac. En 1999 termina su licenciatura por la Facultad de Filosofía en Novi Sad (departamento de lengua serbia y su literatura). Fue redactor de la revista de Novi Sad, El estado de las cosas, publicación con diversos métodos de investigación artística, entre 1997 y 2001. Se matricula en estudios de postgrado en 1999 y en 2003 empieza a trabajar en su tesis, La praxis textual de Dragan Aleksic. Se matricula en el programa de doctorado en la Facultad de Filología y Arte de Kragujevac en 2007. Trabaja de profesor en la escuela musical “Dr Miloje Milojevic” en Kragujevac. Se dedica a la investigación del dadaísmo serbio

Svetlana Rajičić-Perić, University of Kragujevac, Faculty of Philology and Arts

Nació en Kragujevac en 1974. Se licenció en Lengua y Literatura Serbia por la Universidad de Novi Sad en 1998, tras lo cual se matricula en estudios de postgrado como becaria del Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología (de Serbia). Se matricula en los estudios de doctorado en la Facultad de Filología y Arte en Kragujevac en 2007. Trabaja de profesora en la escuela secundaria nº 1. Sus principales intereses están relacionados con el fenómeno del juego en la literatura y la literatura serbia vanguardista.
