The purpose of this article is to present typically pinteresque style first by drawing attention to the early and later response to Pinter’s dramatic work, and then by analysing the stylistic devices of mannerist dialogues and verbal repetitions on the examples taken from The Room, The Birthday Party and The Caretaker.
